Dr Pratishtha Pandey received
M.Tech degree in Solid State Materials from
Physics Department, IIT Delhi in the year
1996. She is a recipient of GATE-95 (Graduate
Aptitude Test in Engineering) Scholarship
for pursuing M.Tech Program and has qualified
National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted
by Council of Scientific Industrial Research
(CSIR) in 1999.
Dr Pandey was awarded doctoral degree in Experimental
Solid State Physics from internationally recognized
Thin Film Laboratory, Physics Department,
IIT Delhi in 2003. In her doctoral work, she
has worked extensively on Growth and Characterization
of Diamond Thin Films. She indigenously designed
and fabricated a large area hot filament Chemical
Vapour Deposition System and has carried out
wide characterization of Diamond Thin films
by X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy,
Fourier Transform InfraRed Spectroscopy and
Micro-Raman Spectroscopy techniques. Dr Pandey
was involved in Field Emission measurements
of diamond thin films. She has performed high
energy irradiation work, hydrogen concentration
determination & depth profiling studies
by Elastic Recoil Detection Analysis at Inter-University
Accelerator Centre, New Delhi.
Dr Pratishtha Pandey
holds R & D experience of about eight years in Defence Research and Development
Organization (DRDO). In Solid State Physics Laboratory, she has worked in the
Growth and Characterization of III-V Epitaxial Compound Semiconductor heterostructures
by Metal Organic Chemical Vapour Deposition Technique (MOCVD) for growth of MESFETs,
Semiconductor Laser Diode structures and Quantum Dots. Dr Pandey was also involved
in Electro-Chemical Capacitance-Voltage Measurement of epitaxial layers.
She joined DST in 2008, where she is working in Science & Technology Infrastructure
Programme.
