Research Specialization
Involved in Interpretation of gravity, deep resistivity and magnetovariational data for mapping and delineating the geological structures. Seismic wave propagation through heterogeneous media and analysis and interpretation of seismological data. Several research papers in National and International journals of repute have been published.
Science Promotion
Involved in implementation of various Earth Science related programmes of DST such as Seismology, Microzonation, Deep Continental Studies, Science of Shallow Subsurface, National facilities in earth sciences etc., for promoting basic research. This resulted in several vision documents, special volumes pertaining to the subject area.
Current Responsibilities
 

Implementation of special S & T package to North East Region under FIST programme; Earth Sciences component of FIST and the ongoing activities of Deep Continental Studies and Science of Shallow Subsurface programmes.
