"Fund for
Improvement of Science and Technology Infrastructure in Universities and Higher
Educational Institutions - (FIST)" was the new millennium initiative of the
Department of Science and Technology towards imparting good quality of higher
education and conducting research in emerging fields of science and engineering.
Over the years, FIST has catered to the academic augmentation of many Departments
either at Level I or at Level II. The objectives of the FIST program has strengthened
quality research and teaching in various areas at the Departments of Universities/
Colleges including Medical, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry sectors. However, in
order to get an insight onto the success of the FIST Program, it is equally important
to evaluate the impact generated by this scheme for larger interest of S &
T promotional aspects in the Universities and the related academic sectors.
Thus, a 2-category format towards 'FIST Impact Study Questionnaire'
has been framed which is to be filled in and submitted back by the Departments
supported under FIST 2000 and FIST 2002 Programs.
